What is network mode?

Network mode refers to the specific type of cellular network your device is set to connect to. It determines the technology your device will use for mobile data and voice services, such as 2G, 3G, 4G (LTE), or 5G.

Which network mode do I have?

To determine which network mode you have, you need to check your device’s settings. On most smartphones, you can find this information under settings related to mobile network or cellular settings. It will show the current network technology your device is using.

You should choose the network mode based on your needs and the available network coverage. For the best speeds and performance, selecting 4G (LTE) or 5G is usually recommended if those networks are available. However, if you are in an area with limited coverage, you may need to use 3G or 2G.

Network mode LTE refers to the setting where your device connects to the 4G LTE network. LTE (Long-Term Evolution) is a standard for high-speed wireless communication and is widely used for mobile data and voice services.

To find the network mode on your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data. Here, you can see and select the network modes available, such as LTE or 5G.
